Comments Basic end-game build to start with for most melee mechs. Has everything a melee needs, including CD reduction, sustain, firm steel effect, and anti-knock down/grab. |
Generic Melee Build (Budget)
Additional notes Budget build with maximum blue parts. Usually not recommended, however it’s good to have while you slowly build up. Treat this more as a good-to-use parts while you work on your purple parts. |

Mecha Build
Apocalypse Iron Head
Upgrade Suggestion | Chassis > Action > Weapon > Armor
Glass DPS Melee Reward from Brave event. It is the only mech that can transform to a new form (Apocalypse), and reverts back to its original setup after 30s. Has decent weapons and attacks, however due to no iframes in any of its actions, it is very squishy. Mainly used with AS reliant pilots, as its transformative quirks allowed additional AS in different forms.
Not very viable at top, but is still usable around top500 in Legendary arena.
Common pairings: Sasaki, Mutsuki, Linda. |
Sasaki Apoc Build
Comments Instant AS Sasaki build, relying on the fact that apoc’s quirk works with SP boost part, while also allowing Sasaki to AS once in all three stages. Usually gets no more than 2 AS per battle.
Mutsuki Apoc Build
Comments +No need to synergize with your team, it fits in any comp as melee aoe cc and dd role +There are budget options for the parts (green tackle core, absorption shell, memory metal) +It can go from 0hp to full hp real quick when muts activated her AS -BiS pet is Laz. It’s mandatory. No laz? No apoc -Can’t actually 1v1 in anything. Need a good tank to sandbag for him -workable up to t300 arena
For this build, skip 2nd chassis upgrade, as both Linda’s AS and cold blood attack bonus are removed after transformation. |
Apocalypse
Upgrade Suggestion | NaN
===Nix Disclaimer=== This area is highly speculative, and is only made possible because of cross checking the weapon names, effects, and actions in testing field, with the Apocalypse boss data sheet at rwiki. Feel free to correct me if I have any mistakes here! ===End of Nix Disclaimer===
25% attack/defense Gmode for 0.5s(?) during transformation. Have additional percentage based damage added to each melee hit. (Details of percentage damage, and number of splits are unknown) |
Asyura
Upgrade Suggestion | Action > Chassis > Armor > Weapon
Offensive DPS melee Damage dealer melee, however heavily reliant on debuffs for maximum damage potential. Chassis effect dealing random debuffs to nearby enemy, weapons with many debuffs, and on death effect that deals both damage and debuffs to enemy who killed it. Its signature move Hellgate’s ascension is a very strong counter that ignores immunity, and has iframe dash that can potentially threatens enemy’s backline.
Best paired with Hitormi as her reorganization passive can proc asyura’s chassis effect 4 times. |

Hitomi Non-bomb Build |
Liselotte mk3
Upgrade Suggestion | None – Retrofit
Glass DPS range Best normal attribute dps in pve, however need purp parts to reach full dps potential. Not viable in pvp due to overall lack of defensive/evasive actions. One of the few builds that worked well with canon pilot Liselotte. Common pairings: Liselotte, Orlando, Wood, Serenity. |
Standard Liselotte Build

Standard Orlando Build

Nightmare
Upgrade Suggestion | Action > Chassis > Weapon > Armor
Stealth DPS melee High DPS melee with a lot of stealth actions, and very evasive chassis. Built in Modified Memory Metal effect in chassis means flexible armor slot, afterimage effects may distract AI from actually hitting the main, and constant stealth allows Nightmare to survive melee group fights without taking too much aggro.
Common pairings: Ying Qi, Arseille, Veronica |
Generic Nightmare Build

Paimon GS
Upgrade Suggestion | Action > Chassis > Armor > Weapon
Tank/Burst DPS melee One of the best off-banner melee mech, however available only from sunbadge, development, and chap28 encounter. More commonly built as tank, occasionally as burst DPS with unyield passive. Common pairings (tank): Ying Qi, Divine Empress, Mutsuki Common pairings (dps): Bekas, Elaine |

Tyrant IIIS
Upgrade Suggestion | Weapon > Action > Chassis > Armor
Range DPS Old design mech, not very strong in today’s meta despite being hard to obtain (either through banner, or expensive dev requiring two SSS mech). Can still have decent dps with certain builds.
Common pairings: Glumi, Fillo, Fritz |
Glumi/Cynthia Tyrant3S Build
Comments Mostly used as pve dps, not very viable in pvp.
