This is an overview for newer players to see what pilots are worth investing in for PVP.This list is based on Halorser’s understanding and knowledge of the game; one of the Top 5 ACES since almost the release of the game.

Top Priority
These pilots are pretty much the best main pilots that you can go for, they will almost always be strong and will almost always be the top choices to use in many PvP teams.

Hitomi – DPS Bruiser
Self revive up to 3 times.
-24% Mech ability cooldown
Amazing on any melee mech
One of the strongest DPS with the correct items/copilot

Teresa – Best General DPS Ranged
High damage active skill
Immune to all debuffs
Up to 28% final damage buff, depending on range
One of the highest statlines in the game
The best general ranged DPS Pilot
S Rare (20% chance in cafe)
Slokai – Defensive Ranged DPS
Attacks apply corrosion (anti-heal)
Anti-ranged shield for 2 seconds every 5 seconds
Built in lifesteal
Can become incredibly hard to kill with certain builds
Lower DPS than other ranged pilots
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Kemuri – Anti-Range Control Tank
Active skill attracts all nearby enemies to her
Permanent aura that slows all ranged projectiles near her
Self revives when killed to the last position and hp 9 seconds ago
Teleports around and gains a def buff after each teleport
Very difficult to kill with certain builds
Low damage
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Ying Qi – Best General Tank
Active skill taunts all enemies, 60% def up and heals 60% hp over 6 seconds.
% chance to block all attacks
Very resistant to debuffs
Reduces final dmg taken by 30% whenever an enemy is near him
Is pretty much the tankiest character in the game
Easy to get (30% chance in cafe)
Newbie friendly (easy to get gear and use from the get-go)
Many players run some kind of counter/s to him
Requires the best gear to survive in the late game
Very low damage
Good Pilots
All rounder pilots that are great in most teams.
Archduchess Arseille – Anti-buff Bruiser
10% chance to destroy any shield and knockdown enemies
80% chance for melee attacks to remove most buff/s on hit
Active skill applies both skills above and any other proc effects (ex: gear/chassis) on all enemies
Almost mandatory to use defense copilot “Death Struggle” from Karas or Kemuri (self-revive)
Very susceptible to burst damage
Requires a good mech and good gear to use (not new player friendly)
S Rare (20% chance in cafe)
Karas – Control Bruiser
Active skill repels all nearby enemies to away from her
Permanent aura that stops all ranged projectiles near her for a duration
Self revives when killed to the last position and hp 9 seconds ago
Teleports around and gains an atk buff after each teleport
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Mutsuki – Anti-range AoE Bruiser
Grabs enemies who collide with her and swings them around
Has 3.5 seconds of unyielding (cannot die) after hitting 0% hp and summons damaging balls around her
Anti-ranged shield
Active Skill uses all 3 above skills at once
Her grab can be countered by interference immunity
Immobile during unyielding duration
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Windsor – General Support
50% Atk buff to all allies when team uses active skill
40% Def buff to all allies when enemy uses active skill
Team gains 25% SP at the start of the battle
Doesn’t offer much after all actives are used
S Rare (20% chance in cafe)
Oscar – Anti-buff Bruiser
Active skill creates clones of your team
Is 21% faster at piloting mechs (movement, mech action CD, weapon switch, action cohesion)
Steals buffs on collision and transfers debuffs
Increased evasion, extra escape action on mechs (who have one)
Requires a good mech and good gear to use (not new player friendly)
Generalist Pilots
Good jack of all trades pilots who can be good in almost any mech
Becas – Jack of All Trades Generalist
Has 5 seconds of unyielding (cannot die) after hitting 0% hp
Very easy to upgrade
Can use active skill – Fire at Will (reloads and shoots all weapons, lowers cd for melee actions) twice
Can be used in any mech
Is free
Generally falls off in top end PvP due to needing more specialized pilots
Shivaji – Jack of All Trades Generalist
Cannot take more than 3% of maximum hp per hit
15% atk buff and immune to freeze, stun and confusion
Whenever an enemy uses an active skill, gains a 50% atk and def buff and becomes immune to CC for 5 seconds
Can be hard to kill and deals decent damage
Can be used in any mech
Generally falls off in top end PvP due to needing more specialized pilots
His buff can be cleansed weakening him greatly in late game PvP
His active skill can knock enemies into your own backline
Elaine – Jack of All Trades Generalist
First weapon gains 100% atk
Cannot take more than 3% of maximum hp per hit
Has one of the highest stat in the game
A very good melee/ranged generalist who can do good dps and be tanky
Can be used in any mech
Generally falls off in top end PvP due to needing more specialized pilots
S Rare (20% chance in cafe)
Elena – High Sustain Bruiser
16% final dmg buff whenever any enemy is below 50% hp
Built in lifesteal
Every hit taken reduces mech action cooldown by 5%
Upon taking fatal damage, she stealths and her mech action cooldowns are lowered by 50%
Can be used in any melee mech
Susceptible to burst damage
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Mephis – Glass Cannon General Ranged DPS
28% chance to ignore most defensive abilities
28% reload speed to all weapons
50% faster rate of fire for all weapons
A great pure DPS ranged pilot
Can be used is any ranged mech
Active skill can be really good, or really bad
Has no defensive skills, is a pure glass cannon
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Niche Pilots
These pilots can be very good in specific mechs or specific situations.
Matilda – Sin 3 Pilot
Best pilot for Sin 3 due to constant G-Mode (Sin 3 heals during G-mode)
Active skill teleports her around enemies and is in G-mode during the duration
Every 10 hits taken, applies 2 seconds of G-mode
Reduces final dmg taken, up to 40% based on missing hp
At 35% hp, goes into stealth and heals
Hard to use outside of Sin 3
Layla – Single-Shot Specialist (Deerstalker and Shamash)
28% chance for single-shot weapons to shoot 5 times instead of once
35% final dmg buff to any enemy that has a debuff
20% atk on non-normal attacks
Active skill shoots the first two weapons multiple times
One of the highest damage pilots in the game when used properly
Relies on % chance to do damage, can really great, or can really be bad
Only useful for single-shot mechs
S Rare (20% chance in cafe)
Linda – Hyper Melee Carry
Active skill doubles the range of melee attacks and boosts melee damage by 100%
20% to apply armor break and knockdown enemies on melee hits
Gets stronger the longer the game goes with a 1% atk boost every 0.5 seconds, up to 100%
When she receives a melee hit, she gains 50% def buff for a short duration
One of the highest damage melee pilots in the game, she can fully demolish an enemy team all by herself
Requires the best gear to function well
Requires a whole team based around protecting her
Relies on getting her active as soon as possible, which can be countered with SP drain
Almost always requires a defensive copilot (Death Struggle from Karas or Kemuri)
Life steal mandatory to function
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Nanase Shiotsuki – Teamwide Anti-CC Support Pilot
-40% debuff duration teamwide aura (does not stop certain debuffs), with the purple gear Radiation Coating, you can reach -100% debuff duration, making your mech/s immune to most debuffs
Good CC with knock up every 1.5 seconds
Has sustain built in (3% heal every action)
Can be used in most mechs
A staple in many high end pvp builds
Requires multiple Radiation Coatings to be effective
Very low damage
Team loses immunity once she is killed
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Judith – Vatican Support/Generalist
Gives all Mechanical Vatican faction pilots (including herself) 21% lifesteal
When 4 or more allies are alive and on the field, she increases final damage by 32%
After colliding with an enemy, gains G-mode
Is good in many mechs
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Meruru – Taunt Control Tank (Albatross)
Every 10 hits taken, applies 2 seconds of G-mode
Taunts enemy team every few seconds
Teleports when taking damage and gains def/atk buff
High HP from skill (extra 20%)
Can stall entire teams solo
Only really useful in Albatross
Very easy to kill in high end PvP
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Haruka – Drone Specialist Nuker
Extremely high burst damage with active skill
Increased evasion, extra escape action on mechs (who have one)
Can melt entire teams if given the chance
Very easy to kill due to no defense copilot
Only useful in mechs who have a drone
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Igarashi Meimi – Drone Sustained Damage Specialist
Active skill has good sustained damage
High sustained mixed damage
Good self sustain with self heal every drone return
Resistant to elemental damage, increased elemental damage
Only useful in drone mechs with high drone counts
Drones have hp and can die when being hit by attacks
Trista – Missile Specialist Nuker
Very high burst and sustained damage
Active skill shoots all weapons and can be used twice a match
Starts a match with 33% SP and has very high SP gain rate
Normal/Explosive missiles can inflict random debuffs
Can be very suicidal due to having the akimbo skill (shoots 2 of the same missile weapon together) which causes her to run out of ammo very quickly
A lot of builds for her require farming a very rare pet (INS01)
S Rare (20% chance in cafe)
Wynonna – Anti-Range/SP Drain Tank
One of the best active skills in the game, she summons a black hole that sucks in most ranged attacks for 8 seconds
Will freeze and reduce a targeted enemy’s SP continuously, also at 50% hp she will reduce enemy attack and sp aswell
Innately tanky, will block any one attack every 0.6 seconds
No defense copilot slot, very susceptible to concentrated fire
Low damage
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Akitsu Masato – Zeorymer Collaboration Pilot
Active skill uses the strongest action of the piloted mech
Gains 3% sp every second
Self heals by 35% (50% in any Zeorymer mech) and gains debuff resistance
% Final def up to 40% depending on current health
One of the best pilots in any Zeorymer mecha
A decent bruiser in other non collaboration mecha
Collaboration Pilot
Can only use full potential in a Zeorymer mecha
Early-Late Pilots
Good Early Game Through Early-Late Game Pilots
These pilots can be great for the early game and mid game, but really falls off later on in late game.
Sasaki Hikaruko – Early Game Powerhouse
Active skill does massive damage in the early game to all enemies
Free
Doesn’t need a lot of upgrades to be used
Very easy to gear
Falls off heavily the higher you go
Can be countered almost completely by Firm Steel Armor or similar effects
Vesper – Early/Mid Game Melee Nuker
Active skill does massive damage in the early/mid game which cannot be countered by Firm Steel Armor or similar effects
30% chance to reflect melee damage to enemies
Resistant to debuffs
Nullies any attack once every 0.6 seconds
Easy to get (30% chance in cafe)
Very susceptible to burst damage
Falls off after copilots are unlocked (lvl 60+) due to no def slot
Active skill can miss a lot
Fiona – Early/Mid Game Damage Soaker Support
Has 5 seconds of unyielding (cannot die) and taunts all enemies after hitting 0% hp
Stealths a random ally every 4.5 seconds
At 50% hp cleanses all debuffs, and gives a 50% def buff to all allies (including herself)
Does very poor damage
Has very low stats
Stealth can be very good or very bad (she can stealth herself)
Collaboration Pilot (unable to obtain outside of event)
Carol – Early/Mid Game DPS Damage Soaker
Has 5 seconds of unyielding (cannot die) after hitting 0% hp
First weapon gains 100% atk
Reduces final dmg taken, up to 40% based on missing hp
Great in the early game for soaking damage and dealing damage
Falls off after copilots are unlocked (lvl 60+) due to no def slot
Ying Lin – Early/Mid Game Bruiser
Great single target nuke with active skill
Mechs gain an extra melee action that provides an i-frame
Reduces final dmg taken by 30% whenever an enemy is near him
-10% dmg taken, immune to burn, stun, and confusion
A great early/mid bruiser who can dish out plenty of damage and take some in return
Free
Falls off after copilots are unlocked (lvl 60+) due to no def slot
Divine Empress – Early/Mid Game Support Bruiser
Active skill removes all debuffs from allies and removes all buffs from enemies
Revives after taking fatal damage with 75% hp
After 10 seconds, gains a massive steroid (99% atk and def buff and immune to status conditions) and heals nearby allies for 6 seconds
One of the best early/mid game bruisers in available
Very susceptible to burst in late game PvP due to not having any defensive skills for the first 10 seconds and after her steroid ends
SS Rare (10% chance in cafe)
Wood – Ranged Nuker
Active skill permanently increases magazine size for single/automatic/burst weapons by 120%
28% chance to ignore most defensive abilities
Gets stronger the longer the game goes with a 1% atk boost every 0.5 seconds, up to 100%
Has 5 seconds of unyielding (cannot die) after hitting 0% hp
Can do amazing damage when used in a proper mech (Galahad)
A staple in many early/mid game teams
Hard to use in a lot of mechs due to long reload times after active skill
Falls off after copilots are unlocked (lvl 60+) due to no def slot
S Rare (20% chance in cafe)
Vanessa – Support Nuker
Active skill can nuke an area for very high damage
Every 10 hits taken, applies 2 seconds of G-mode
Teamwide 1% HP regen while alive
Immune to EM paralysis, stun and interference
A decent support who can also burst with her active skill
Easy to get
Very low damage outside of active skill
Very susceptible to burst
Low Priority / Very Niche / Unproven Pilots
These pilots are not worth investing into unless you like them personally.

General Tips
After level 61 you will unlock copilots. A general rule of thumb is: if the pilot you are using has access to def copilots, USE ONE
Pilot choice is only one third of the balance of PvP. Mechs and gear are the other thirds.
Make sure to level up and upgrade your pilots. Stats matter a lot and your pilots will not perform well without them.
